Doctor Who randomness

This is cropping up all over my flist all of a sudden:

When you see this post a Doctor Who quote on your own LJ.

From Caves of Androzani:

You have the mouth of a prattling jackanapes, but your eyes - they tell a different story.

(I'm assuming Classic Who is permissible)

Well, if is not, I messed up, too, as I quoted Classic Who =D

Excellent! I'm in good company then - always reassuring. :D

I was about to tell you that I got the prompt from Birggitt and it was Classic Who, but here the two of your are! *g*

Nice quote... even if it is Five. *whistles*

Maybe a little. *g* I write novels that have vampires in them so... NOT Anne Rice "oh woe is me" type vamps more snarky, "I've lived 900 years so I actually bothered to learn a few things" type vamps.

You do? Are them on line or somewhere I can get a hold on them?
I'm in love with snarky vamps =D (Damn! I need a Spike icon!)

No, they're not. I'm doing the Agent dance of death right now where they decide if you're worth taking to the party or not. *g*

But that's SO cool! And stop banging your rabbit head against the wall! It must hurt!
I guess you let us know when you get published, aren't you?

If that ever happens, sure. I made myself a promise that I would finish something and then have the guts to send it out to agents. Beyond that, I have no control over the situation. I finished writing three linked novels and, as said, am showing it to agents who can't seem to make up their mind if they want to get "married"... or just go for a dirty weekend in Brighton.

I'm chuffed actually, that I've just managed to do what I promised myself I'd do.

*barges in - I seem to be doing that a lot today*

WOW! That's deeply impressive. And I love vampire stories, and snarky stories, so double wow! Good luck with the publishing - put me on the list for a copy (signed please! :D)

Thanks for the vote of confidence. *hugs* It's almost impossible to get published without an agent any more and as reputable agents don't make *anything* unless they sell your book they're very careful about taking you on. The books are a difficult sell, I'm told, being "comedy mysteries with supernatural overtones and a little romance thrown in." An agent's description, not mine.

You do know Tax has an agent contract right? I'm so excited for her!

I love Dr Who, and I have loved it since I was a kid, so, to me, Classic Who is love and... pimping, LOL!

I have much love for Classic Who, and I applaud your choice of quote! *g*

*curtseys* Thank you!

I really do like this quote, partly because Peter Davison was finally given the chance to show his acting chops in this ep. But mostly because it really stands as testament to the linear nature of Doctor Who. The quote could just as easily apply to Ten, or Two (or even Four at a stretch) as to Five.
