Sorry I'm being a bit spammy today, but I usually don't post three times in a month, so I'm hoping I can get away with it as a one off! (Also, it's my first time trying to post an image, so it's a sort of test post). Anyway, I'd like you all to meet:

The name was the kids' idea. I have no idea why Ken. Hee! More snow please!

I was going to ask you if there was a piccy! Even better in the snowy flesh than I'd hoped! And surely Dalek Ken because of Dalek Khan, no? Or is there a Dalek Barbie that I don't know about?

Further interrogation reveals that the name is indeed a Khan reference (my kids are blissfully unaware of the Barbie phenomenon.) I like to think that Ken is the slightly rubbish fifth member of the Cult of Skaro, who eschews exterminating in favour of a bit of gentle taunting! :D

I'd forgotten about him! Had to rewatch and sporfle all over again!

I've never seen that! Just struck lucky with the reference. That is outrageously funny! XDDDDD

edited for appalling spelling *headdesk*

YAY!

Dalek Ken is rather excellent and it looks like you must have had great fun. I have to admit I am strangely not scared of him though and the name Ken isn't really striking fear into me either but that might just be me.

No, he's not especially scary, I'll grant you that! Although, now it's dark, he's looming at me in a rather more impressive way. (As much as something that's slightly taller than the average toddler is capable of looming!)

Heehee, well done :D I'm still waiting for that lorryload of snow btw. *taps foot*

I believe it met with an unfortunate jack-knifing accident owing to the treacherous road conditions. See, now that's irony, Ms Morisette - watch and learn!

Dalek Ken because just like Barbie's Ken he has no... equipment.

You did a very nice job on the shaping. *g*

No equipment? He has a sink plunger! I'm sure Ken could furnish Barbie with many happy hours if he were similarly equipped!

Thank you - there was much careful sculpting going on. He is actually nicely pointed at the front, although you'd never know from the photo!

I'm sure Dalek Barbie appreciates his being nicely pointed at the front...

Oooh sink plunger pr0n... Erm... Probably not... *g*

Hee! *g*

I'm almost tempted to write sink-plunger comment!porn for a laugh. But not quite.

Well... some parts of the plunger would be easier to work in *cough* than others...

Maybe so - but think of the suction possibilities! *g*

Hee!! Oh he's marvellous, I bet he was fun to make.

bistokids at 2009-02-02 19:41 (UTC) (Link)
Yeah, he was. :D Although it's embarrassing to think how much time I spent toiling on alone after the kids had lost interest and gone back inside! Carving grooves into his base with a bit of stick, re-shaping the lights because they looked too much like teddy bear ears, and so on. I may have got slightly too involved!

Dalek Ken! What a great name. If I'd have known as a child that amongst their number lurked 'Ken' I think I would have been less inclined to hide behind the sofa. *g*

Ken has hidden depths. And a red sink plunger. Be afraid, be very afraid.

(That's a beautiful icon, btw. Is that one of your pictures?)

Oh ta! Yes, there's a near-by forest... well, woody bit, and it is lovely to walk through, a very nice place to point my camera. That pic wasn't taken in these snowy days though, I think it was from some light dusting last year. Tch, and to think I thought that was snow! I've seen real snow now... *wanders off, shaking head in manner of old man*
